Carmel & Naccasha Partner attorney and employment law specialist, Emilie K. Elliott, recently earned the distinction of Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH). The course teaches the core knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform impartial workplace investigations.
The 2024 AWI-CH Training Institute consisted of three parts, in each of which Emilie demonstrated success at achieving the core knowledge and skills necessary to perform impartial workplace investigations. The curriculum includes such topics as bias, evidence, ethics, report writing, credibility, post-investigation and also includes report writing exercises and mock investigations. Course participants also learn how to recognize and avoid bias in investigations, plan an investigation, conduct an information gathering interview, demonstrate an analysis of credibility and how to write an effective investigative report.
