Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno has been named #19 on the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy List, its highest placement to date. The recognition highlights Sereno’s ongoing commitment to community impact through its 1% For Good Charitable Foundation, an initiative that has supported hundreds of nonprofit organizations across Northern and Central California.
Here in San Luis Obispo County, 1% For Good has provided continued support to organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County and the SLO Food Bank, along with local nonprofits focused on youth, community well-being, and access to essential resources. The initiative reflects Sereno’s approach of ensuring charitable dollars stay rooted in the communities where its agents live and work.
“This recognition reinforces something we’ve always believed – that business can and should give back in a meaningful way,” said Lindsey Harn of the Lindsey Harn Group. “Here in San Luis Obispo, our office is committed to supporting organizations that help strengthen the fabric of our community. It’s an honor to be part of a company that leads with action, not just words.”
Harn also shared a personal connection to one of the local beneficiaries. “I got my start work in this community as an intern at Big Brothers Big Sisters back in 2007. To now be in a position to help direct support to the work they continue to do means a great deal.”
Since launching in 2012, the Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation has donated over $7 million to more than 600 nonprofits across 11 counties, supporting initiatives in education, community development, equity and access, ecological resilience and disaster response. The Foundation is funded directly from agent contributions and company giving, built into Sereno’s business model from day one.“This incredible achievement is a direct reflection of our amazing agents, staff and leadership, whose generosity and commitment to Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation continue to create lasting impact in our local communities,” said Kirsty Duncan, Director of Giving & Corporate Social Responsibility. “I am beyond grateful for them and the positive impact it allows us to make.”
