City Farm SLO invites the community to its most anticipated event of the year, a lively evening of farm games, farm-to-table dining, and a hoedown under the stars, all while raising funds to empower youth through sustainable agriculture and farm-based education.
- Guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind celebration featuring:
- Farm Games – Four sponsor-backed teams will face off in regenerative farming challenges, including bed prep, broad forking and transplanting. The competition will be judged by local celebrities on both speed and style:
- Erica A. Stewart, Mayor of the City of San Luis Obispo
- Matt Warren Farmer and Star of the hit reality show Farmer Wants a Wife
- Erin Primer, School Food Champion and Food Service Director at SLCUSD
- Farm-to-Table BBQ Feast – A locally-sourced dinner paired with the region’s finest beers and wines.
- Live & Silent Auctions – Featuring unique experiences and items, capped off with a spirited Raise the Paddle in support of City Farm’s youth education programs.
- The Hoedown – A lively dance party with music by local favorites The Mother Corn Shuckers, inviting guests to kick up their heels beneath the night sky.
“This event will be a blast! Get ready for farm competitions, awesome music, great food… and an important opportunity to support the future of programs at City Farm SLO,” said Kayla Rutland, Executive Director of City Farm SLO.
All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit City Farm SLO’s youth education programs which are empowering the next generation to live healthier, more prosperous lives through sustainable agriculture and farm-based education.
