For the first time ever, the City of SLO is launching SLO Restaurant Week which will take place from Friday, January 12 to Sunday, January 21.

Participating restaurants will offer a “Perfect Pairing”, a combo of menu items put together exclusively for SLO Restaurant Week. “Perfect Pairings” vary by price point at each eatery, and can be as simple as a slice of quiche paired with a cup of coffee or as adventurous as a specialty cocktail paired with fresh ceviche.
Participants that dine locally during SLO Restaurant Week can enter to win a grand prize package made of gift cards from participating eateries. Entries are not limited, so the more eateries you support from January 12-21, the more chances you have to win the grand prize of one thousand dollars in participating restaurant gift cards. To enter, simply dine at a participating establishment, then fill out the entry form provided by the eatery before you leave. Diners do not have to select the “Perfect Pairing” to enter, any purchase from the restaurant qualifies for entry.
“With the ending of SLO CAL Restaurant Month, we were hearing from local businesses that there was a strong desire to see a restaurant promotion in January, a typically softer month for the industry,” said Molly Cano, Economic Development & Tourism Manager for the City of SLO. “We’re excited to be launching SLO Restaurant Week, and hope it will encourage the community over these 10 days to dine locally as often as they can.”
To further get the word out about the program and let businesses know how they can participate, the City partnered with longtime local broadcaster Adam Montiel.
“I am happy to work with my friends in the restaurant business and more, share and explore exclusive ‘Perfect Pairings’ crafted by these SLO establishments, and showcase the diverse flavors our town has to offer,” said Adam Montiel, local media personality and SLO Restaurant Week partner. “I’m excited to try new places, and new things at some of my favorite spots. I love that we can dine out in SLO this January and get rewarded for it!”
While you’re enjoying SLO Restaurant Week and trying all the “Perfect Pairings”, make sure to save your receipts for Eat Local Bonus. Bring receipts totaling $100 or more to the Visitor Center and get a $25 gift card to another local eatery, while supplies last now through the end of January.
The winner of SLO Restaurant Week’s grand prize will be chosen live on the Up + Adam podcast with Adam Montiel.
