Downtown SLO and Libertine Brewing Co. are teaming up to bring more live music and fun to the Concerts in the Plaza series starting this spring! The popular brewery, restaurant and entertainment venue in downtown San Luis Obispo will host a multitude of new events before and after the popular free summer concert series.
All events will take place at Libertine Brewing Co. in downtown San Luis Obispo, at 1234 Broad Street, just two blocks away from Mission Plaza. There are no cover charges for these events and all are open to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
2025 Lineup Reveal Party | Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1–4 p.m.
This year, for the first time, the community can be among the first to see the 2025 Concerts in the Plaza lineup at an in-person celebration at Libertine Brewing Co.! The event will feature live music from local R&B group, The Groove Collective as well as specialty-themed cocktails and food available for purchase. This event is family-friendly and will include the official lineup of Concerts in the Plaza dates, headlining bands and opening acts, as well as artwork for the season and committed sponsors.
The lineup will be announced to the general public and press on Monday, March 3, 2025.
“Battle of the Openers” | Friday, April 11, 2025, from 8–10 p.m.
Downtown SLO and Libertine Brewing Co. are excited to invite the community to the first-ever “Battle of the Openers” on Friday, April 11, 2025. The remaining Opening Act of the season will be determined and voted on by the audience at this friendly competition! Four to five soloists and duos will perform a 15-minute set for the audience and judges, “Battle of the Bands”-style. Votes will be cast via mobile device and the winner will be announced at the end of the night! This is a 21+ event.
Concerts in the Plaza After-Parties | Every Friday, June 20–September 12, 2025, at 8:30 p.m.
Don’t let the music stop when Concerts in the Plaza ends! Libertine Brewing Co. is booking twelve artists to perform at their venue (1234 Broad Street) every Friday evening after the concerts in Mission Plaza end.
The lineup of after-party performers will be released in the spring. After-parties will be 21+ events.
