The City of SLO invites the community to another Community Belonging Series event in collaboration with the Cal Poly Office of University Diversity and Inclusion. This workshop is Microaggressions 101.
This informative workshop will develop on understanding and addressing microaggressions in everyday interactions. Facilitated by Dr. Sarah Macdonald, the Assistant Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Instruction in the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology at Cal Poly, this session will explore the concept of microaggressions, their impact and strategies for fostering inclusive environments. Light refreshments will be provided.
The workshop will be held Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Library Community Room at the SLO Public Library, Downtown SLO.
