St. James of London, purveyor of all-natural men’s grooming products, is preparing to introduce a new Luxury Collection to their successful range of fragrances. Although the new line will be part of the existing St. James of London family of fragrances, shaving creams, lotions, razors and brushes it will be something different. Cal Poly graduate and San Luis Obispo-based graphic designer Kevin Akers will be responsible for encapsulating the St. James of London heritage within an exciting and luxurious package featuring four sophisticated and sultry fragrances.
About St. James of London
It was the dawning of a new era in 1953, when all of Great Britain had raised itself up from the ruins of the second World War and a newly crowned young Queen symbolized peace and prosperity. This time gave way to much progress, innovation and a new way of life, one of euphoria and confidence. It was in this watershed year the St James of London brand of all-natural men’s skincare products premiered, bringing to light a higher level of grooming regimen for men.
In the fall of 2013 and after a 50 year dormancy, the St James of London brand was acquired by Todd Fisher, an American entrepreneur. It was during this time the privately-held brand resurrected itself and re-launched in 2014 with new, modern fragrances using the same all-natural original formulas from 1953. As it was it in the beginning, our products are still made in small-batches to insure perfect quality and consistency. Today, St. James of London grace the shelves of the world’s best clothiers, specialty shops salons and barbershops and considered to be among the best skincare and fragrance products in the world.

Kevin Akers is a graphic designer with extensive experience in corporate identity and logo development, packaging and collateral. Having designed upwards of 100 corporate identities, he is adept at crafting and implementing an effective brand. Kevin created the original logo and packaging for St. James of London and expanded the designs to include an exclusive line of woman’s fragrances in 2018. KEVIN AKERS design + imagery was founded in 1993 in San Rafael, CA and relocated to San Luis Obispo in 2022.
