South County Chambers of Commerce, a regional Chamber that serves businesses and nonprofits from Avila Beach to Nipomo and beyond, is now accepting applications for its President/CEO position.

“Over the past four years, our Chamber has successfully merged smaller local chambers into a strong, regional, fast-growing association of businesses,” said Nicole Moore, incoming chair for the 2022 Board of Directors. “We are seeking a leader who can continue this upward trajectory, support ongoing growth, and build on our current momentum.”

This full-time leadership position will work with local businesses, nonprofits, regional governments, lodging properties, and other stakeholders to maintain and improve commerce in our heavily toured region. The CEO is responsible for developing and implementing policy as well as recommending action to the Board of Directors for the continued success and growth of South County Chambers of Commerce.  This person will oversee existing operations of the Chamber. The CEO will create an annual budget and organizational plan to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Chamber’s membership. He or she should be enthusiastic, creative, well organized, and an excellent communicator capable of functioning well and making critical, strategic decisions in an independent, face-paced environment.
