Following the success of past workshops, Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary announced the next event in its popular and ongoing “Brushstrokes & Burros” series. The painting workshop and fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1-4 p.m., inviting the community to once again connect with art and animals at the sanctuary.

The event’s proven format offers a special opportunity to blend creativity with compassion, with all proceeds directly benefiting the rescued donkeys and mules in the non-profit’s care. Guests will begin by meeting the gentle rescued donkeys who serve as the event’s inspiration. Local artist Terry Greene will then lead a guided workshop in contemporary modern expressive realism, suitable for all skill levels. As they paint, participants will enjoy a charcuterie board donated by Graze Charcuterie, a dessert fudge board from Hubbalicious Sweet Shop and a local donated wine.

This series has become a vital and popular fundraiser, supporting the sanctuary’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate and provide lifetime homes for abused, abandoned and neglected donkeys and mules.

Tickets for these popular workshops are limited and sell out quickly. Early booking is highly recommended. All art supplies are included, and attendees must be 21 or older.
