Scouting America Los Padres Council invites the community to its annual Boots & Bling celebration on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Cypress Ridge Pavilion in Arroyo Grande. The western-themed evening begins at 6:00 p.m. and will feature a reception, dinner, entertainment, live and silent auctions, prizes and the presentation of two distinguished community awards.
This year’s honorees include:
- John Sorgenfrei, receiving the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award
- Chris McKiernan, recipient of the Los Padres Council Legacy Award
All proceeds from Boots & Bling benefit over 3,500 youth served through Scouting, Camp Rancho Alegre, and The Outdoor School, throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties.
“We’re thrilled to bring the community together to celebrate local leaders and raise essential funds for programs that build character, leadership, and outdoor skills in our youth,” said Carlos Cortez, Scout Executive of Scouting America Los Padres Council. “From The Outdoor School’s environmental education to year-round Scouting programs, every dollar raised helps ensure access for youth from all backgrounds.”
Sponsorship packages, tribute journal ads, and individual tickets are now available. Community members and businesses are encouraged to show their support by attending, donating auction items, or sponsoring a table.
