The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (SLOIFF) officially joined forces with the Palm Theater to establish the SLO Film Center. A collaborative venture, the center is showcasing new releases, expanding
the program of independent and retrospective titles, and offering the venue for cultural events such as live music, comedy and educational endeavors. The Center will focus on a year-round slate of programming with daily screenings, events and special guests, while continuing to be the hub of the annual SLO International Film Festival.
Located in the heart of San Luis Obispo’s cultural arts district, the SLO Film Center is operating as a non-profit to continue to strengthen film’s role as a vibrant contributor to the region’s arts community and will also operate as a shared space to engage broader, diverse audiences.
Join them on October 2, from 5-7:30 p.m., for a special celebration of the beloved hometown theater and the new SLO Film Center project with food, drinks, cinema centric fun and frightful activities along with live music from local horror fans, Ghost\Monster Duo.
