In a community where every neighbor counts, no one should go to bed hungry. Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation is deeply honored to support the SLO Food Bank as the next recipient of its quarterly donation. The SLO Food Bank is a vital resource across SLO, ensuring children, seniors, families and all walks of life have consistent access to fresh nutritious foods.

In San Luis Obispo, more than 25,000 individuals face food insecurity, unsure of where their next meal will come from. “Partnering with the SLO Food Bank reflects our ongoing commitment to serving the communities where we live and work,” said Lindsey Harn of the Lindsey Harn Group. “No one should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from and we are honored to contribute to an organization dedicated to meeting this essential need.”

The SLO Food Bank is the lifeline for feeding thousands of people each month through its network of more than 70 local partners, including food pantries, shelters and other nonprofit organizations. Beyond food distribution, the organization rescues surplus produce, provides nutrition education and delivers groceries directly to homebound seniors. Not only ensuring individuals have access to food but also the resources and support to live a happier life.

“We are incredibly grateful to Sereno 1% For Good for their generous $5,000 donation,” said Garrett Olson, Chief Executive Officer of the SLO Food Bank. “This support will help us bring fresh, healthy meals to families across San Luis Obispo County, ensuring they have reliable access to food.”

“Sereno’s 1% For Good initiative is a powerful example of how businesses can make a real difference. Your generosity directly supports our mission and the neighbors we serve every day. Thank you for being a part of the solution.”

Since 2012, the Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation has been dedicated to supporting local organizations to uplift and strengthen the community. To date, the foundation has donated more than $6 million, touching lives across 510 organizations across the region.

This quarter’s grant will allow the SLO Food Bank to continue its vital food distribution but help create programs that promote a healthier, more connected community.
