Mission Community Services Corporation (MCSC) has received a $6,500 grant from the Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County (CFSLOCO). MCSC will use the grant money for small business and financial literacy training and business consulting.

MCSC, and its Women’s Business Center, was chosen to receive this grant and is among 24 recipients, whose grants total $193,635.

This year’s grant-making program is made possible through the generous support of the Foundation’s Community Endowment and many donor funds held at the Foundation. In only 16 years, the CFSLOCO has given out more than $26 million in grants to assist nonprofit agencies. For more information on the CFSLOCO or any funds, call 805-543-2323, or log onto www.cfsloco.org.

“We are grateful to the Community Foundation for their leadership and support in helping improve the lives of entrepreneurs in our area,” MCSC’s Program Director, Chuck Jehle, said. “This grant will go a long way towards helping us better serve small local businesses through our consulting services and training programs.”
