The Women’s Business Center, hosted by Mission Community Services Corporation, located at 71 Zaca Lane, will be conducting two workshops in the upcoming weeks to help people looking at self-employment as an option for their next job or how to better market their existing business. The free workshops will be offered from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
On Monday, April 22, “Marketing Your Product and Services” will be featured. This introductory course will look at how one should market their business, whether retail or service. Methods looked at include: advertising, public relations, cold calling and social media.
On Monday, May 13, “So You Want to be an Entrepreneur” will be the topic of the two-hour workshop. The class will cover important keys to being a successful entrepreneur, proper licensing and permits, legal structure for a small business and an introduction to business planning.
