The 80 lovely voices of Central Coast Children’s Choir will present HeartSongs, a concert that will stir your heart. Songs of laughter, love, longing and home include American and Irish folk songs, gospel spiritual and contemporary songs such as Billy Joel’s “For the Longest Time”. Our youngest singers will make you smile with “Kookaburra” and our oldest with “Quotes from Mark Twain”. Beautiful ballads such as “My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose” and “Homeward Bound” will contrast the Quaker song “How Can I Keep from Singing”.

The concert will be offered at San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00pm and Sunday, May 19th at 4:00pm. Tickets range in price from $8 – $15 and can be purchased online at BrownPaperTickets.com.

The accomplished CCCC singers from the Advanced Vocal Ensemble and Concert Choir will be offering a recital at the historic San Miguel Church on Friday, May 31st at 7:00pm. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door for $10 per adult and $5 per student.

For the past 19 years, more than 500 families in San Luis Obispo County have benefited from CCCC’s program of musical instruction and choral performance. CCCC singers have had the opportunity to sing with the San Luis Obispo Symphony, Opera SLO, Pacific Repertory Opera, Cuesta Master Chorale and the San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble. The Central Coast Children’s Choir is devoted to creating choral excellence, instilling values of self-discipline and commitment and building lasting friendships. The goal is to inspire the artist within each child through the power of music.

Next year CCCC will celebrate their 20th year with exciting performance opportunities for our singers. New singers in kindergarten through 12th grade will be accepted in September.
