Music_Motive_logo_primaryMusic Motive is announcing its new Music and Movement classes for toddlers and preschoolers. This program called “Tiny Tunes,” will present continuous sessions with monthly themes. Classes will take place on Thursday mornings at the San Luis Obispo lesson studio at 3440 S. Higuera #130, and will extend to other days and locations as this new program continues. Tiny Tunes is centered on a philosophy of imagination, positiveness and awareness.

The creator and teacher of this program, Lauren Vukicevich, is a recent Cal Poly graduate who studied psychology and music. She is a Music Motive piano/vocal/guitar instructor of private lessons and music enrichment classes in SLO County elementary schools.

“My vision is to combine the fun of playing music with principles like mindfulness and connection,” said Vukicevich. “I believe that kids have a natural curiosity that can be transformed into listening skills and creative exploration. Tiny Tunes will provide an opportunity for them to discover and express themselves through music and conscious movement.”

Music Motive has students ranging from age four to 84, and is now pleased to offer classes for young kids that are not yet ready for private lessons. The sessions will include developmentally appropriate activities based on music psychology and child development. Songs have been carefully selected or written on topics such as gratitude, empathy and cultural awareness.

Registration for Tiny Tunes is now available and the classes will begin on March 3 at 10:15 a.m.
