Tiffany Carrari, whose family has a long history of farming in the Santa Maria Valley, will draw from her rich knowledge of agriculture as Andre Morris & Buttery’s newest associate attorney, specializing in the agribusiness, food & beverage and hospitality industries.
Growing up between Los Alamos and Nipomo, Carrari spent much time riding tractors, raising pigs for 4-H and playing in her grandfather’s vineyards. Her grandfather, Joe Carrari, was instrumental in establishing several vineyards in the area, while her father grew row crops in the valley.
“From the time I was small, I had a very practical, hands-on exposure to agriculture and agribusiness,” said Carrari, whose Italian family roots also helped foster her interest in food and wine. Carrari went on to study history and art history at UCLA and law at the University of Texas in Austin. But she never strayed far from her wine and food background: During her studies, she worked in restaurants and a wine bar and began pursuing her sommelier certification as a law student.
Licensed to practice law in both California and Texas, she began her legal career with Kirk & Simas in Santa Maria, where her areas of practice included alcoholic beverages, agriculture, business and real estate. At Andre Morris & Buttery, her main practice areas will be business and real estate transactions.
“Tiffany’s background is a perfect mix of a great legal education, which helps her understand the nuances of the law, and a real-world ag and wine background, which provides a unique understanding of our clients’ needs,” said principal Kathy Eppright. “She’s also a highly competent, hard worker, who thrives under pressure.”
