The San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre is proud to present Noël Coward’s much- beloved and oft-revived 1941 comedy “Blithe Spirt” about ghosts, mediums and marital bliss in the English countryside. The brilliant comedy, most recently revived in London’s West End in 2014, offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, happily re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” one Madame Arcati. Properly restrained British hilarity ensues. “Blithe Spirit” runs May 3-19, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets range in price from $20-$36 and are available at slorep.org or by calling (805) 786-2440.

“Blithe Spirit” is directed by Kevin Harris, and features an extraordinary cast of actors including Toby Tropper, Katie Worley-Beck, Rachel Tietz, Kerry DiMaggio, Suzy Newman, Rosh Wright and Gary Paul-Clark*. (*Mr. Clark is a member of Actors’ Equity Association.) Scenic Design by David Linfield; costume design by Suzanne Mann; Lighting and Sound Design by Kevin Harris.
