Pacific Eye is seeking the community’s help in selecting worthy 501(c)(3) organizations to participate in their annual Pacific Eye Gives Back Challenge. At the close of this year’s contest, Pacific Eye will have donated $45,000 to local non-profits since the contest’s start in 2012.

The challenge is designed to highlight the outstanding organizations that make positive change visible on the Central Coast. Community members and local non-profit representatives can nominate their charity of choice before the submission deadline on October 7th:

Nominations are being accepted through Pacific Eye’s website and Facebook page. Visit paceyemd.com/nominate-your-charity or facebook.com/PacEyeMD to  simply fill out the form letting us know about your favorite Central Coast non-profit organization.

Pacific Eye’s team of physicians will review the nominations and select 10 organizations to move on to the voting round. Beginning in late October, the general public can place one vote per day for their favorite non-profit through Thanksgiving Day. The organizations with the most votes will receive donations totaling $10,000, awarded in December.

This is the fifth year Pacific Eye is organizing the contest. Last year, top donations went to Jack’s Helping Hand, SLO Symphony (Youth Symphony) and Central Coast Funds for Children. The community’s involvement was outstanding with over 17,000 votes counted. Pacific Eye hopes for continued participation and growth in 2016.
