woods humane society Woods Humane Society has received a generous grant of $20,000 from the Petco Foundation to support the shelter’s expanding adoption program. This grant supplies much needed financial support to offset the costs of preparing displaced dogs and cats for adoption, such as spay/neuter surgeries, veterinary care, and microchipping.

Woods Humane Society has been experiencing a surge in adoptions over the past few years. The shelter has doubled the number of dogs and cats placed into loving homes over the past year, totally over 3,000 lives saved. The Petco Foundation investment allows Woods Humane Society to maintain a high adoption rate while supporting the shelter’s veterinary health programs so that more animals can find forever homes. “This incredibly generous support from the Petco Foundation will have a very positive impact on the veterinary care and welfare of companion animals in our community. Petco’s clear commitment to improving and saving the lives of animals is greatly appreciated.” said Neil Trent, Woods Executive Director.
