Jocelyn Brennan, President/CEO of South County Chambers of Commerce, announced she is moving on from her current position to pursue launching her own company. She will stay involved with the Chamber as a business owner and Leadership South County advisor.

“The Chamber is grateful for Jocelyn’s hard work over the past four years. She took a successful city chamber and created a regional support system and resource center to help ensure that businesses in South County thrive,” said Jill Quint, current Chamber Board of Directors Chairperson. “She also created a pathway for new businesses to come to the South County and plug into a fantastic network. Jocelyn is leaving a legacy that the Board is excited to continue building with a new CEO.”

Beginning in 2018, after working as District Director for Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham’s office, Jocelyn has been a powerful and innovative advocate for the South County business community. Some of the Chamber’s recent accomplishments include: significant membership growth, establishing a regional Chamber, creating key partnerships, local business steering committees, developing a Leadership South County program, remodeling and reopening the California Welcome Center, Nipomo Cowork space, and during the COVID-19 Pandemic providing virtual webinars on critical topics, assisting businesses through public health guidelines, adapting business operations, access to federal and state funds, facilitating microgrants, and buy local campaigns.

“The Chamber’s notable success and stability are a result of Jocelyn’s hard work and amazing leadership, especially through the COVID-19 economic shutdown,” said 2022 Chamber Board Chairperson elect, Nicole Moore. “We will begin our search for the perfect candidate to replace that position—very large shoes to fill—but with a strong Board of Directors in place, we will continue to grow the business community and accelerate a thriving economic climate in South County. Jocelyn intends to remain involved with the Chamber and assist in ensuring the success of collaborative projects that are ongoing with our community partners.”

“Serving the South County business community with the South County Chambers team, the Board of Directors, and Ambassadors has been truly rewarding,” said Jocelyn, “I’m confident the Chamber will continue to build on the current programs, growing business resources, and advocacy on behalf of local businesses. I look forward to staying involved through Leadership South County and as a member of the Chamber.”

Jocelyn’s transition will be effective in November. The Chamber Board of Directors will begin a search for the next President/CEO immediately.
