The largest fitness, health and running festival on the California Central Coast will bring out 3,000+ athletes of all ages and abilities, and 6,000+ spectators, to Madonna Meadows in San Luis Obispo this upcoming weekend. Presented by Pacific Premier Bank and produced by the local endurance sport leader Race SLO, the weekend activities will kick off on Friday, April 26, with the new YogaMusic Fest and continue with a 5K and kids races on Saturday, and a half-marathon and relay races, including the new Corporate Challenge presented by Morris and Garritano Insurance on Sunday.

Several streets will be closed to thru traffic from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday to ensure athletes’ safety. Most road closures downtown start about 4 a.m., with many reopening again to traffic by 8:30-9:30 a.m. “No parking” signs will be posted on the course, and vehicles will be towed if left inside the road closure. For the full list of closures, please visit here.

The 8th annual Race SLO ‘Spring FitFest’ aims to inspire people in the community to connect and live their best lifestyles. The broad range of activities offers something for everyone.

“I truly believe that outdoor adventure, endurance sports and self investing can lead to a better mind, body and life. This year, we are including #BeSLOWild themed yoga sessions and inspirational speakers, dance music, and run-walk events for all levels, plus hosting over 50 elite runners competing for cash prizes as well. I myself am an ex-couch potato turned UltraWoman in my early 30’s. RaceSLO was founded on my passion to transform others and our community through these life changing events. Our guests all get to experience an amazing inclusive atmosphere, powerful positive energy and authentic human connection,” said Samantha Pruitt, Race SLO founder and CEO.

Online registration is open until April 25th and all events are just a few hundred spots from selling out. On site late registration will also be available at the Race SLO Festival for YogaMusic Fest Friday afternoon, Saturday all day and Sunday early morning. Late registrants on site are not guaranteed a shirt.
