The City is drafting an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) – the City’s first combined bicycle and pedestrian transportation plan. Since early 2019, staff has been working with the Active Transportation Committee to develop the ATP and is now seeking community feedback.

Staff will hold a series of public events to ask community members about:

  1. Barriers to bicycling and walking for transportation in the City
  2. Types of active transportation infrastructure and policies that could provide the greatest support to increase bicycling and walking in the City

Participants will have the opportunity to provide recommendations on topics such as the types of bicycle facilities they want to see more of citywide such as protected bike lanes, desired locations for pedestrian crossing improvements and curb ramps, and desired routes to prioritize first for investment in walking and bicycling improvements.
