The Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo Daybreak will host its Annual Drive-Thru BBQ Fundraiser on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $60 each which gets you a complete dinner for four including a whole tri-tip BBQed to perfection, beans, salad and garlic bread. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to fund Community and Teacher Grants as well as student scholarships for the 23/24 Rotary year.
“We are so excited to once again hold our annual fundraiser to support the growing needs of our community.”, said Club President Gary Borjan. “Rotary SLO Daybreak celebrated its 25th anniversary this past year and we are so excited to continue to help provide and be present in the place we love to call home. All proceeds from this event go directly to fund our annual giving of grants and scholarships so we are really hoping to sell all 200 tickets that we have available.”
Founded in Chicago, USA on February 23, 1905 – Rotary is a global network of volunteers who share a passion for enhancing communities and improving lives around the world. Rotary clubs will celebrate this anniversary by participating in an array of service projects that address community needs at home and abroad – from fighting disease and providing clean water to supporting education, growing local economies and promoting peace.
Rotary’s top priority is the global eradication of polio – a paralyzing yet vaccine-preventable disease that is now 99.9 percent eliminated from the world.
