Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center is hosting a free community seminar on robotic-assisted surgery Wednesday, August 29 at 2 p.m. Attendees will learn how robotic surgery differs from traditional surgery, and what it means for the future of healthcare. Plus, attendees will have a chance to test-drive the da Vinci robot themselves. The da Vinci Surgical System can be used across a spectrum of minimally-invasive surgical procedures and has been optimized for surgeries in the areas of gynecology, urology, thoracic, cardiac and general surgery. Physicians and experts will be available at the event to answer questions.
