flavor of sloFlavors of SLO, a community event featuring tastings of local restaurants, wineries, and breweries, is returning on Saturday, May 5th in Downtown San Luis Obispo. Dozens of Central Coast businesses will come together in Mission Plaza to sample some of their finest food and drink offerings to attendees.

In the spirit of honoring the 10th Anniversary of Flavors of SLO, the event will move to Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo and expand its offerings. Along with highlighting Central Coast restaurants, wineries and breweries, Flavors of SLO will also include cultural groups and multiple entertainment stages. Mariachi Mexicanismo and Aztec, Folklorico and Greek style dancing performances will be featured, along with headliner, Rio Salinas featuring Louie Ortega. Event entertainment is sponsored by the Latino Outreach Council.

Guests will sample a wide variety of local cuisine from Ascension Cellars, Baileyana, Tangent and True Myth Winery, Bella Luna Estate Winery, Bon Temps Creole Café, Del Monte Café, Firestone Walker Brewing, Libertine Brewing, Lotus Asia’s Best, Mint + Craft Cafe and Mercantile, Novo Restaurant & Lounge, Opolo Vineyards, Phantom Rivers Wine, Pizza Republic, Robert Hall Winery, SLO Provisions, Spike’s Pub, Tablas Creek Vineyard, Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse, Urbane Café, and We Olive. Additional participating vendors will be announced as the event approaches.

Tickets can be purchased at www.flavorsofslo.com, and are $30 presale and $40 at the door. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $50 each. VIP Guests will receive early event entry at 12:00 PM, and an exclusive spirits tasting. Tickets for youth, age 6-20, are $10, and children age 5 and under are free.
