Comevo, a technology company that specializes in online orientation software, has partnered with the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce to create Small Business Spotlights, a video campaign aimed at supporting small businesses through the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Small Business Spotlight videos provide latest updates, a peek inside businesses and ways to support the Doers + Dreamers in our community.

“Comevo is pleased to sponsor our business community again with the Small Business Spotlight videos,” said Leslie Coe, President of Comevo. “Now more than ever it is important to support our local businesses to help keep San Luis Obispo flourishing.”

A new video will air each week under one of the following four categories: Takeout Tuesday, Wine Wednesday, Wellness Wednesday and Small Business Saturday. Click here to view the first video. Small Business Spotlights will be available to view on and SLO Chamber’s social media platforms.

“The pandemic has made supporting our local businesses, especially those that rely heavily on in-person interactions, more important than ever,” said Jim Dantona, President and CEO of the SLO Chamber. “We are thrilled that Comevo has come on board to help us roll these videos out weekly. This partnership between nonprofit and private sectors to support small businesses exemplifies why SLO is so special.”

Small Business Spotlights are one of the many ways the SLO Chamber has stepped up to support the business community during this challenging time. Early on the SLO Chamber launched free informational webinars, a new event series Working Lunch (which also airs on KCBX’s Issues & Ideas), and partners with the regional Chambers to launch a bi-monthly business impact survey. And in May, with the SLO Chamber’s assistance, Comevo awarded $5,000 grants to small businesses in the County disproportionately affected by the shutdown. With recent growth, Comevo is actively searching to add to their team.
