I will be resigning my Chamber position at the end of June, which will be my 10-year anniversary with the Chamber and my seventh as president and CEO. I told the Board of Directors on February 15 and have included a link to the press release here.
I feel honored to have served you and the Chamber this past decade, and I can’t thank you enough for your support.
This has been a difficult decision to make, as working for the Chamber has been so gratifying. Driving the move is a desire to spend a great deal more time with my young daughter. It is a choice that I am grateful to be able to make and to have supported by my family, colleagues and the Board this morning.
Now is an excellent time for the Chamber to welcome new leadership: membership retention is high, revenues are growing, our network of indispensable volunteers has never been more robust, and our staff is talented and dedicated. In other words, the Chamber is very strong, thanks primarily to your support, and a strong organization will attract strong candidates.
The Board of Directors has appointed a selection committee and will launch the search process for the next President/CEO shortly.
I look forward to seeing you at Chamber programs over the coming months and to thanking you personally for your support of this worthy organization.
