The San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre is thrilled to launch the 2017-2018 season with The All Night Strut! Directed and choreographed by PCPA’s Michael Jenkinson, this delightful musical revue features some of the greatest hits from The Greatest Generation. From the funky jive of Harlem, to the romance of the Stage Door Canteen, The All Night Strut! struts its stuff with jazz,, blues, bebop and American songbook standards such as Minnie The Moocher, In The Mood, Fascinatin’ Rhythm, I’ll Be Seeing You, It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got that Swing and As Time Goes By.
This international hit has delighted audiences old and young with sublime music, sheer energy, and a story that moves through time and place to highlight a slice of yesteryear and capture a beloved American era.
The All Night Strut! runs August 25 through September 17, Wednesday-Sunday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Wednesday and Sunday night shows are NEW this year, offered in response to last year’s many sold out shows. Keenon Hooks
The All Night Strut! features the talents of four amazing singers and dancers: Katie Worley-Beck, Keenon Hooks, Méami Maszewski and Tim Stewart. Michael Jenkinson directs and choreographs and Mark Robertshaw is the musical director and band leader. Band members include James Gallardo and Evan Goldham, costumes by Renee Van Niel, scenic design by David Linfield, and lighting and sound design by Kevin Harris.
