slo transitWith rainy weather in the forecast, the City of San Luis Obispo Transit (SLO Transit) is taking steps toward making it a little easier for its passengers to navigate the wet weather. While supplies last, SLO Transit will be distributing SLO Transit branded rain ponchos to passengers boarding the bus on select rainy days. Rain ponchos are available in limited supply and solely as a promotional opportunity. Passengers are encouraged to save and reuse their poncho throughout the rainy season.

“While we definitely need the rain, we understand the challenges this brings to commuters. We hope these rain ponchos will make their commute just a little bit easier,” states Transit Manager Gamaliel Anguiano.

When wearing their poncho, passengers are encouraged to post pictures on social media and tag SLO Transit on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. SLO Transit rain ponchos are hooded and blue in color with the repeated imprint of buses and the slotransit.org logo. Ponchos are packaged in a reusable plastic pouch, making it easy for passengers to store their SLO Transit rain poncho for the next rainy day.
