Family-owned and operated SLO Yoga Center will open its second location in the Marigold Plaza Shopping Center on Broad Street July 18, 2018. Conveniently located with ample parking, this new location will offer a variety of yoga class styles for all levels, including heated Power Yoga, Sculpt, and more.
In addition to classes, the new SLO Yoga Center boasts a heated yoga room with infrared panels, a non-heated yoga room for gentler classes, locker rooms and showers, and membership options that can be shared with the downtown location.
SLO Yoga Center owners Stephanie and Andrew Stackhouse are longtime yogis who have been running the downtown location for the past four years. Stephanie says, “After 8 years in the Seattle area, we wanted to move to a smaller town where we could put down roots and be part of a community. As Cal Poly alums, our dream was to one day move back to the Central Coast. In July of 2014, we set our sights on San Luis Obispo and made the move leaving behind corporate jobs. Soon after, we had an opportunity to purchase the studio. The community welcomed us with open arms and we have been so grateful for the ongoing support.”
There has been much anticipation for the Stackhouse’s to open a second location. Amenities including locker rooms with showers, and the convenience of easy parking will distinguish this new studio from the thriving downtown location. “While the new studio will follow the same blueprint as our downtown location, the class schedule at the Marigold location will be geared towards more athletic practices like Power Yoga, Sculpt, and Pilates but will still include slower paced classes suitable for beginners and those wanting a slower paced, relaxing and restorative practice. Being able to expand and share the benefits of yoga in a community that has been so welcoming to us, is such a blessing,” said owners Stephanie and Andrew Stackhouse.
