As an extension of Richard Fusillo’s “We All Bleed” photography exhibition at San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, R.A.C.E. Matters and SLOMotion Film are proud to present an in person and virtual screening of “SNCC” on Saturday, April 24.

The documentary film by legendary photographer and filmmaker Danny Lyon, “SNCC” features Lyon’s iconic photographs of John Lewis and other activists from the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee. The film, through imagery and sound, will dive deep into the hotbed of 1960s youth activism. 

There will be a limited, socially distanced, in-person screening at A Satellite of Love in San Luis Obispo. Please bring a jacket, your own chair, and your mask.  Doors open at 7 p.m., program begins at 8:15 p.m.

To enjoy virtually, watch on SLOMotion’s Eventive platform (available through Roku and Apple TV app).  The film will be available from 7:00 p.m. PT on 4/24 till midnight on 4/25. 

Preceding the screening, Danny Lyon will be joined by Patrisse Cullors, Executive Director and Co-founder of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, in a live Zoom Q&A conversation from 8:15 – 8:45 p.m.
