Stand Strong serves and supports survivors of intimate partner
violence, domestic violence, and child abuse.
“We continue to provide our clients with much needed services, even with renewed Covid19 pandemic restrictions,” says Jennifer Adams, Interim Executive Director. “The holidays bring an increased need for these families as they struggle with the additional challenges.”
Survivors and their children face new and unpredictable dangers during the pandemic. In many cases, domestic violence has increased in frequency and severity because of decreased incomes, job losses, school closures, and intensified isolation. Now more than ever, victims seek personal safety and support for their families. Due to renewed Purple Tier restrictions, the need for our services has increased dramatically. Client assistance needs have tripled compared to the same time last year.
Please help us to serve these families by donating gift cards to grocery stores, department stores or gas stations. Stand Strong has deployed staff to work remotely and offer tele-services to our clients, however our offices are open by appointment. Please call (805) 781-6401 for more information. The Zaca Lane Office lobby is open MondayFriday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM to accept contactless drop-off donations of checks and gift cards; but we are unable to accept any other donations of items or products at this time.
