In the wake of the devastating fires affecting California, The Community Foundation has opened a Fire Relief Fund and will waive all administrative fees to provide urgent assistance to nonprofit organizations working on the ground in the areas of fire devastation.

Firefighters, first responders and charitable organizations play a critical role in battling the destruction and providing support to the victims of the California fires. Through the Disaster Support Fund, The Community Foundation hopes to offer an avenue for San Luis Obispo County to unite and share in supporting the victims and heroes of these fires.

“Our thoughts and hearts are with those impacted by the fires throughout California,” said Heidi McPherson, CEO of The Community Foundation. “These challenging times remind us that as a community, our reach must extend beyond the boundaries of our county to connect with our neighbors affected by these fires.”
