Earlier this Summer, Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce‘s annual Morro Bay Avocado & Margarita Street Festival, which brings 10,000-12,000 people to Morro Bay each September, made the decision to cancel under growing COVID-19 concerns. As a major fundraiser for both the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce & several other local non-profits and an annual boon for local businesses, quickly started making plans for a way to continue sharing their love of California Avocados, fresh coastal ingredients, and local business.
The answer, the first ever ‘Guac-tail Hour’ home kit. Working with Del Rey Avocados, local avocado farmers, and expert mixologists at Yes! Cocktail, the inaugural “avomargfest home kit” with special ingredients & coastal favorites perfect for having a mini-festival for 10 people at home, was created. Now in the finally 10 days of the Guac-tail Hour order order-period, the Morro Chamber is encouraging local community members to place orders!

As a special bonus for locals, community members can choose “pick up locally” to remove shipping costs or pick-up at the Avocado Shack’s larger location in Morro Bay.
