With a career spanning more than 40 years, The Tribune’s Bob Cuddy is set to retire on March 29. The 70-year-old has reported on county government for the McClatchy-owned newspaper for the past eight years, covering many important stories including being the lead reporter on the Gail Wilcox / David Edge investigation. Cuddy has also served as a columnist for the daily newspaper sharing his perspective on hot topic issues affecting the community. Cuddy’s long career in newspapers includes having been the editorial page editor for the Contra Costa Times’ Livermore office before moving to the Central Coast. The Tribune is currently determining plans to replace him.
