The partners that brought Rooster Creek Tavern to Arroyo Grande are planning a new restaurant in San Luis Obispo. The long vacant building that housed Bank of America in the University Square shopping center on Foothill Boulevard is slated to be the home of a family friendly restaurant that appeals to young professionals. The 5,000 square foot location will feature a patio, brick pizza oven, a full bar and will have the flexibility to host banquets. Yet-to-be-named, the new restaurant is the latest in a number of businesses, including Lassen’s Natural Foods & Vitamins and Rite-Aid that have committed to opening up shop in the center. Construction to remodel and revitalize University Square started late last year.
