Creating More Sustainable Events
On April 26, 2022, a panel of sustainability experts from across California came together in person and virtually to share their knowledge and experience in creating more sustainable events. The panelists taught us how to look at events with a greener lens, and help us tackle the most common problems for event producers including making sustainable choices that fit your event budget, engaging vendors and sponsors in new ways, reducing or eliminating single-use materials, avoiding last-minute emergency purchases and creating a lasting impact towards sustainable solutions in your organization.

Reimagining Your Events
On December 7, 2021 we brought together some of the best event leaders in the industry to share how they have pivoted during this challenging time and found the ability to not only survive, but thrive. With nearly 80 years of experience planning and executing events between them, the speakers’ resumes include hosting private events for Hollywood’s A-list and pulling off virtual political conventions. This event was brought to you by a partnership between the SLO Chamber & the City of SLO’s Promotional Coordinating Committee. The PCC will be awarding up to 40 nonprofits $2,500 grants in the 2020-21 fiscal year. Learn more and apply for a grant, here.
