Sensorio has a volunteer opportunity for 18 year old or older community members with internationally-acclaimed artist Bruce Munro who will premier his largest artwork to date – an enormous 15-acre walk-through solar installation – an array of over 58,800 stemmed spheres gently illuminating the Paso Robles landscape. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work side by side with Bruce Munro’s team and learn how his installations come to life!
This volunteer opportunity is available from April 9 – May 15, 2019. Volunteers should be prepared to work a minimum of three shifts. If possible, it is preferred that volunteers stay for a whole day, working both morning and afternoon shifts. Volunteers should be in reasonably good shape and able to navigate uneven terrain, as they will be required to carry out the following actions/tasks:
- Walk over/through trailing fiber optics and uneven terrain
- Carry awkward objects
- Complete various repetitive tasks
- Repeatedly bend down
- Use small hand tools
- Thread fiber optics
Set to open its first phase in May 2019, Sensorio is a new immersive art destination located in Paso Robles, California. Powered by solar, Bruno Munro: Field of Light will captivate visitors, inviting them to engage with the landscape and environment through an ethereal light based and sculptural experience. Tickets are can be purchased online at sensoriopaso.com.
This would be a great team building opportunity for any business or organization. For more volunteering, or to sign up, visit sensoriopaso.eventbrite.com. For questions about this volunteer opportunity or for Group Sales information, please contact Ken Miles at [email protected].
