The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Central Coast California, which promotes, supports and educates women business owners in achieving success, today announced the details of its monthly luncheon. May’s program will feature Vikita Poindexter: “Will the Real Independent Contractor Please Stand Up?”. The event will be held virtually on Friday, June 5th at 11:30 a.m in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our speaker will address the challenging question facing employers in California, “Do I have employees or independent contractors?”, and will also discuss the Dynamex Decision, as it has become known, which applies a standard that presumes all workers are employees instead of contractors.
