Additional opportunities to participate include a soulful, traditional procession on November 1st (the formal date for the Day of the Dead) in San Luis Obispo at Humankind Fair Trade. The procession will begin with light snacks and drinks, and then process through Downtown SLO to the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art. The procession will be lead by Wilshire Hospice musicians, and will include traditional music of the Latinx heritage. Costumes are encouraged. At the end of the procession, remarks will be made in honor of the tradition, and a community altar will be built at the museum. Community members welcome to bring copies of photos of their loved ones, and other items to place on the altar.
