Calling all SLO County dogs and their owners! Woods Humane Society hosts St. Francis Capital’s 27th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk on Saturday, October 12th at Mitchell Park in downtown San Luis Obispo. This year’s theme is Mardi Paws and the shelter invites all SLO County K9s to join us as we parade through downtown San Luis Obispo to raise awareness and revenue for the homeless dogs and cats who are waiting for adoption at Woods’ two locations in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero.
The Wiggle Waggle Walk includes a pet fair with dog related booths, a Doggie Fun Zone K9 agility course (your dog will LOVE IT), the Tails Pet Boutique K9 Costume Contests, a Blessing of the Animals, Raffle, and the Mardi Paws parade through downtown San Luis Obispo led by local band Brass Mash!
100% of the event proceeds directly benefits local homeless animals and helps Woods Humane Society save lives. Festivities begin at 9am at Mitchell Park and run until 1pm with the Mardi Paws parade scheduled for 11:30am. Registration and fundraising pages are at woodshumane.org/walk2019 where participants sign up to walk and set up their online fundraising pages. Fundraisers earn fantastic prizes and the animals of Woods receive the financial support they desperately need.
