Woods Humane Society is celebrating the one year anniversary of the Daphne Fahsing Spay/Neuter Clinic located at Woods North County in Atascadero. Construction completed on the new low‐cost clinic in October of 2018 with the first surgeries taking place in November.
Over the last twelve months, the Daphne Fahsing Spay/Neuter Clinic has performed 2,932 spay/neuter surgeries for north county dogs and cats. The clinic’s ambitious first year goal was set at 3,000 surgeries. Wood’s Humane Society’s North County clinic primarily serves pet owners from Atascadero to Paso Robles…but is available for anyone throughout the county to utilize. Aside from assisting county residents with their owned animals, the low‐cost clinic also provides services to communities and feral cats through ongoing partnerships with Paws Cause and The Feline Network of the Central Coast. Additionally, Woods Humane Society has opened the doors of the clinic for low‐cost vaccination clinics on the fourth Saturday of every month.
