The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association is holding the 7th Annual Veteran’s Celebration at Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market to honor and pay tribute to the more than 25,000 local veterans, currently serving members, and those no longer with us. Join us to show your support for all veterans and veteran public service organizations.
The evening will commence at 6:25 PM with a ceremonial procession through the market led by the Cal Poly ROTC Honor Guard, followed by Cal Poly ROTC Cadets, the Grizzly Youth Academy Drill Team and other participating Veterans. The procession will lead to Chorro Street where the official ceremony will kick-off featuring Mixed CO vocal ensemble, Grizzly Youth Academy Drill Team performance and guest speaker District Attorney Dan Dow, a Veteran of the United State Army and a Major in the California Army National Guard.
Throughout the rest of the evening guests can enjoy musical performances by Mixed CO and Shawn Clark Family Band featuring U.S. Army Veteran, Lance Iunker. A variety of displays and booths will line Chorro Street comprised of the many service organizations that support local veterans. All are invited to enjoy the event and show their support!
