Cal Poly announced this year that they have signed a sublease with 4Creeks, Inc. for 580 square-feet of office space in the Cal Poly Technology Park.

4Creeks, Inc. houses six core disciplines at its corporate offices in the Central Valley, Sacramento and San Luis Obispo. The disciplines include: urban planning, engineering, surveying, construction, utilities, and marketing. 4Creeks, Inc. provides the required services for both the private and public sector. They believe that this experience provides valuable assessments of a project as they work from the beginning conceptual planning stages towards final construction of a project.

“We are extremely excited to have 4Creeks join us as permanent members of the campus community through our new Technology Park,” said Jim Dunning, director of economic development and technology transfer. “4Creeks will provide real world experiences to our students through internships and part-time employment and are interested in partnering with our faculty researchers in the areas of civil and waste-water treatment research, land development, planning and demonstration projects.”

4Creeks, Inc. is dynamic and collaborative. Their team-based approach is the standard and they enjoy working together and pooling their resources to provide the best solution available for their clients.

A project of the Office of Research and Economic Development, the Cal Poly Technology Park serves as a home for technology-based businesses, particularly firms engaged in applied research and development. Presence in the Technology Park enhances the ability of companies to benefit from the expertise and skills of Cal Poly faculty and students. Phase One of the Technology Park project encompasses a 25,000 square-foot building; it was completed in June 2010 and is now 100 percent occupied. Partial funding for the construction of the building was provided by the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Cal Poly is currently in the conceptual site planning stages to expand the Technology Park into an Innovation Complex. The complex would add additional office, research and flexible space to accommodate growing demand from the private sector to collaborate with Cal Poly.
