“To think that I follow in the footsteps of 9 presidents that have brought the association to the level of success and recognition that it currently enjoys today is humbling,” said Lubin.
CAC was founded in 1917 as the first organized association of collection professionals in the country. The association provides a platform to address issues specific to third-party collectors in the state of California, with members including third-party collection agencies, creditors, asset buyers, attorneys and vendor associates.
Lubin states that his goals for the association’s hundredth year are to increase membership, increase participation and encourage members to have fun doing their jobs.
“Even with its pattern of great success, we can’t lose sight that CAC is only as strong as itsmember base,” Lubin said. “It’s important to appreciate the work we’re doing and recognize that when we come together as an association, we’re bettering the industry.”
To date, CAC remains the largest state unit of credit and collection professionals, and was the founding unit of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals International.
