Carmel & Naccasha LLP is very pleased to announce that Jess Raynor and Victor Herrera have been named Partners at the firm.
Jess Raynor is a graduate of St. Mary’s College and the University of San Francisco School of Law. She joined the State Bar of California in December of 2012. She practiced in the litigation group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP for nearly a decade.
Jess joined Carmel & Naccasha in March of 2022 and was slated to work as a part-time attorney. It became immediately apparent that she couldn’t get enough, and she quickly increased her hours to full-time.
“Jess has worked very hard, and has integrated into the firm in a productive, collaborative manner, with
staff and with clients. Jess consistently puts out excellent work and has managed some very difficult client situations and personalities graciously and professionally,” commented Carmel & Naccasha Managing Partner, Ziyad Naccasha.
Jess’ practice concentrates on business litigation involving partnerships, employment and real property
and easement issues; she also works on corporate and business transactions, and drafting and
negotiation of contracts.
With joint B.A.s in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from California Western School of Law, Victor Herrera became a member of the State Bar of California in December of 2008 and joined Carmel & Naccasha in May 2021, moving to San Luis Obispo from the Inland Empire.
“It was an interesting time to move, but Victor threw himself in to work and this community. Besides being an outstanding attorney, Victor has thrived in this community and is an amazing mentor to our staff and the law school bound interns working with us,” commented Carmel & Naccasha’s Managing Partner Ziyad Naccasha.
Victor is a board member and committee member of the California Conference of Bar Associations, as well as committees at the SLO Chamber, SLO Community Foundation and the County Sheriff’s Office. As a member of Rotary before he moved, Victor has also joined Rotary in San Luis Obispo.
Victor’s practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration, trust litigation, probates, probate litigation and conservatorships.
