e-insiderIt’s time to familiarize yourself with the parking structures in downtown SLO as surface level parking lots are being redeveloped to create more commercial and residential options. The city anticipates that in mid-November the lot on the corner of Marsh and Broad streets (Lot 2) behind SLO Brewing Co. and across from Big Sky Café will be closed permanently due to construction of the Garden Street Terraces project. Another major city lot (Lots 11 and 3) on Palm Street across from the Palm Street parking structure will be closing in early spring 2016 for the continued construction of the Chinatown project. Meanwhile City Council discussions are scheduled to begin in January about the construction of a long planned parking structure on the corner of Palm and Nipomo streets, the site of another city-owned parking lot (Lot 14).    Park Map
