Chapman Estate

The Chapman Estate Foundation (CEF) presents a talk at the Shell Beach Library on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 4-5 p.m. located at 230 Leeward Ave, Shell Beach, CA.

Presenters CEF Board Treasurer Beverly Pratt and CEF Board Director Norma Gurba will address topics like Chapman History, Iconic Structures on Site, The Chapman Estate Foundation Work, Chapman Volunteer Opportunities and Chapman Special Events.

The Chapman Estate is characterized by the Main Residence bordered by mature Monterey Cypress trees at the eastern perimeter of the property and a variety of ornamental plant collections and lawn areas within the Estate grounds.

Beautiful public spaces include the main entry to the Estate, the upper lawn area, the Begonia House, the heated seawater pool, the promontory and the western ocean terraces.

Unique structural components scattered throughout the landscape, including The Windmill, the Koi Pond, a stone Lighthouse, Gull Cottage use, and stone garage.
