In recognition of September as Blood Cancer/Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month, the Hearst Cancer Resource Center is pleased to present the latest information at our free symposium.
French Hospital Medical Center’s Hearst Cancer Resource Center is pleased to invite the community to a free Community Symposium on Blood Cancer and Treatment Advances: A New Perspective. Featured speaker James Malone, MD, will share his expertise on lymphoma, myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
Patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals will gain valuable information regarding these blood cancers as well as learning about recent treatment developments for each group of these diseases. This symposium will include a question and answer session and an update on resources/programs available at Hearst Cancer Resource Center and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, at the Copeland Health Education Pavilion Auditorium, third floor, located on the French Hospital campus at 1911 Johnson Avenue, San Luis Obispo. Dinner will be catered by Trumpet Vine. Admission is free, but space is limited. Reservations are required by calling the Hearst Cancer Resource Center at (805) 542-6234.
